La Chapelle d’Abondance has the largest Nordic area in the Abondance Valley. Comprising 23km of maintained Nordic tracks, with 9 different skiing levels, both for classic cross-country skiing with prepared tracks and for Nordic skiing.
Ski touring is ideal for combining the attraction of wide open spaces with the constant renewed joys of descents in virgin snow. Before leaving take the necessary safety precautions. La Chapelle and the Chablais massif are privileged sites for ski touring.
The French Ski School (ESF – Ecole du Ski Français) in La Chapelle d’Abondance teaches the best techniques to all ages. They constantly adapt their skills and services to the new trends.
